Wood care

Use your Shot Barrel only for plain spirits such as whisky, rum, tequila, etc. Other drinks will get into the wood and will spoil over time.

You may notice some seepage from the base – this is normal and unavoidable with wood. You  need to drink faster...

To clean: simply rinse with warm water. Do not use soap, as it will soak into the wood and you will taste it in your next drink.

Avoid using strong detergents and NEVER place wooden items in the dishwasher.

Do not leave wooden items to soak as this can cause warping.

Wipe items dry and leave in a cool place to dry slowly- not on top of the AGA.

If the finish on your bowl is looking dull, try coating it with a thin fresh layer of walnut or Tung oil, leave to dry for a week and then polish with a lint free cloth.

Keep them cool.

Small cracks can be repaired with wood filler, allow to dry and then sand smooth. For larger repairs, please get in touch with me to discuss further.
